LumenDMX is built by a small team; we read everything. Include your iOS version and node or gateway model and we'll get you running.
Quick start with ETC gear
- Open Settings, then Universes.
- Add or select a universe.
- Choose the ETC Sensor3 / CEM3 Rack or ETC Net3 Gateway preset.
- Bring up channel 1. Multicast means no rack configuration.
Local Network permission
DMX-over-network is local network traffic, so iOS asks once before LumenDMX can reach your lighting network. If you declined the prompt, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → LumenDMX and turn access on.
Multicast troubleshooting
Managed Wi-Fi can filter multicast. Try unicast sACN to the node's IP address, or use a dedicated production router. CEM3 racks are multicast-only.
Universe status meanings
- Sending
- The universe is configured and output is running.
- Connecting
- LumenDMX is preparing the network output.
- Waiting
- The connection cannot proceed yet; check Wi-Fi and Local Network permission.
- Error
- The sender stopped unexpectedly and will try to reconnect.
- Stopped
- The universe is not currently sending.
Exporting a show
Open Settings and choose Export Show File… Save the file in Files or send it with the share sheet. Eos, MagicQ, grandMA2 and SmartFade read the USITT ASCII export.
Patch, cues, groups and subs carry over; LED color data isn't part of the USITT format.
